Greetings fellow bicycle enjoyers,

We regret to inform you that, effective August 16, 2024, Bikeatoga will no longer be repairing personal bikes in our workshop. We will continue to repair and distribute refurbished bikes. Our volunteer mechanics have been working exceptionally hard to prepare more than 400 bicycles so far this year. We have found that personal bicycles are often the most time consuming, may require expensive parts, and lead to more problems when they are, despite our best efforts, occasionally misplaced or adopted by other clients.

We will continue to fix personal bikes outside the workshop on our Mobile Repair Vehicle (MRV) outings. Keep an eye on our socials for more information on our trips to Farmer's Markets, Saratoga Pride, the Backstretch, Saratoga Library, and more! At the discretion of our workshop managers, we may try to provide quick fixes on quieter days at our workshop, or allow visitors to use our tools, but we do not promise to address all problems with personal bikes. Our volunteer mechanics will be happy to help you practice bike repairs in our workshop, and give you advice on parts to check.

We hope this can be a temporary policy, but it will need to remain in place until we can establish a system that allows us to comfortably meet our goals. Our most precious resource is the time of our volunteer mechanics, and we want to use it as efficiently as possible to help support the community and pedal for a better future in and around Saratoga Springs.
